ASAHI MOLECULAR MASTERS
Fancy yourself a molecular magician, an ace of the atomiser, a smoke-infusions superstar? Then join the Asahi Molecular Masters 2011 and show your colours
Where do art and science meet? One place is in molecular mixology, the combination of scientific innovations and tools with the art of cocktail-making. They also meet in the UK’s bestselling Japanese beer, Asahi. Leading the way in innovation over 20 years ago, Asahi created the first karakuchi (dry) beer in Japan. Since then Asahi has continued to lead in the world of innovation with the first robotic barman, Mr. Asahi. The company even created a bespoke style bar at the Royal Albert Hall.
In short, wherever there is talent, there is also Asahi.
So this autumn, Asahi is calling in the nation’s best bartending talent – molecular mixing talent, to be precise. That’s right, it’s your chance to show what you can do with your lab kit and compete for a fantastic money-can’t-buy prize!
Last year’s competition was a spectacular extravaganza, with finals presented by Patrick Kielty and Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams. This year’s contest promises to be even more of a spectacle, with the five qualifying bartenders challenged to put on a marvel of science-meets-art at the finals at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
