A stout stoat
Clocking in at 55% abv, and with a price tag of £500 per 33cl bottle, The End of History is
another deliberately sensational launch from BrewDog. And it's packaged in various taxidermied animals.
Produced using the same method as its previous high-abv beers like Tactical Nuclear Penguin – by freezing to separate water from the solution – this Belgian ale also comes with the same BrewDog agenda. 'We want to show people there is an alternative to monolithic corporate beers … We are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible,' co-founder James Watt said.
Only 12 bottles have been produced, using seven stoats, four squirrels and one hare. The squirrels are sold at a premium, at £700, and the hare is not currently available for sale at BrewDog's online shop.
Why stuffed animals? James Watt explained: 'The impact of The End of History is a perfect conceptual marriage between taxidermy, art and craft brewing.'
Obviously.

There are still another 252 days until April 1st – surely the photo above with dirty ashtray and animals without jackets or top hats cannot be serious !!
