Louis Villard
Starting out as a cellar rat in his hometown of Santa Barbara, California, Louis then moved to France, eventually becoming assistant winemaker at Domaine La Sauvageonne in the Languedoc. Somewhere along the way he ended up with a BSc in oenology too. Moving to the UK, he pursued a career as a sommelier working at various restaurants in England including The Savoy and Ashdown Park Hotel. He now spends his time as a restaurant wine consultant and trainer, as well as freelance wine writer. He also maintains a blog entitled Spilt Wine. Louis makes the videos on imbibe.com.
