Pure milk vodka Black Cow has launched the 2017 Gold Top Cup, asking bartenders to create a drink which illustrates a momentous experience in their life.
In this cocktail you must use ingredients native to the UK, with a limit of six ingredients. The judges will be marking on taste, presentation and narrative content. The theme this year of creating a drink which illustrates a momentous experience, like falling in love, discovering one’s true calling or being moved by some new understanding. The drink should in some way tell the story of this event.
Finalists will receive a personalised Black Cow branded cocktail kit and a trip to West Dorset, the home of Black Cow, to experience the Dorset coastline by sea, sailing together along the famous Jurassic Coast on a tall ship, before battling it out for the trophy.
The overall winner will win the coveted Gold Top Cup and have their winning cocktail featured on the Black Cow bottle neck tags as well as a prize of £1,000.
Entries must be recieved by 15 April, with six bartenders chosen to compete at each of the regional heats across the UK and internationally. The final will be at the Black Cow Distillery, Bar + Kitchen in West Dorset on 21 June.
