New beer releases are brewing this summer. From low/no products to craft on draught, here are the latest beer launches for the on-trade

Polar Monkeys enters the realm of draught

After releasing Blue Collar Amber Lager and Chairman IPA earlier this year, Polar Monkeys is taking its beers to the taps.

The Nordic-inspired range is part of the Theodor Schiøtz Brewing Company. Originally available in 330ml stubby bottles, Polar Monkeys is now offering both its lager and its IPA in 20l kegs.

According to the brand, Blue Collar Amber Lager has a crisp and balanced hoppiness with citrus notes and floral aromas, while Chairman IPA is richer, with caramel flavours and fruity notes that pair well with spicy foods.

Gorgeous Brewery launches first range

Joining the craft party is the newly minted Gorgeous Brewery, a family-run outfit based at The Bull pub in Highgate. Gorgeous is hitting the market with a range of eight beers available in bottles or 30l kegs.

In true craft form, the beer is bottled and labelled by hand, and each variety bears a sufficiently quirky name (think Geekhunter, Gyrocopter and Greedyguts).

But what seems to set Gorgeous apart is its emphasis on variety. The line-up features everything from light-bodied pale ales, to a dark vanilla malt stout and seasonal IPAs. What’s more, seven of the eight beers are vegan, offering choices for even the crunchiest of customers.

‘We have designed the beers to ensure that the range encompasses something for every drinker and for every occasion, based on what we would enjoy drinking,’ commented founder Rob Laub.

Glowfly, 4% abv; Gunpowder, 4.8% abv; Geekhunter, 4.2% abv; Greaseball, 5.4% abv; Gyrocopter, 4.1% abv; Goofyhoof, 4.6% abv; Greedyguts, 3.5% abv; Gravedigger, 5% abv; £90/30l keg, brewers@gorgeousbrewery.com

Euroboozer takes Stiegl to the low/no zone

Euroboozer is leading its Stiegl products down decidedly less boozy paths with the introduction of three new low- and no-abv options.

Stiegl Freibier is the brand’s new non-alcoholic lager, made with Saphir hops to give the liquid a full-bodied, aromatic flavour.

A Grapefruit Radler is also making an entrance, pairing Stiegl’s Goldbräu beer with grapefruit juice for a low-alcohol option.

Rounding out the trio is the comparatively hedonistic Gluten Frei, a 4.9% abv – you guessed it – gluten free beer containing millet, made without the use of enzymes to remove the gluten. It also touts a bottom-fermented, organic label.

Interested in trying these new brews? Check out the Euroboozer stand (G8) at this year’s Imbibe Live, 2-3 July at London Olympia.

Freibier, max 0.5% abv, : £8.13/12x33cl bottles; Grapefruit Radler, 2% abv, £26.51/50cl cans; Gluten Frei, 4.9% abv, £26.51/24x50cl cans, www.euroboozer.co.uk
