Crowd-funding website Crowdcube has helped to fund its third brewery. South-east London brewer Hop Stuff has successfully raised £58,300, 117% of its target.

With the help of its 70 new investors, the brewer is now able to rent space in Woolwich, as well as get itself a 10-barrel brewing system – with a capacity to over 3,000 litres per week.

Hop Stuff founder James Yeomans commented: ‘Without crowdfunding, raising the finance we needed proved to be very difficult, with many traditional means unavailable to a start-up such as ourselves.’

The site has now raised a total of £9.7m, £4.1m of which was food-and-drink related.
