When thieves made off with a load of stock from Ales by Mail’s warehouse earlier this week, they made the mistake of taking some easily identifiable prototype Brewdog beers. The retailer is appealing to bars, pubs and off-licences to help them recover their stolen goods – not only will you be doing a good thing, but there’s a reward being offered too.
The 16,000 bottles, estimated to have a retail value of £40,000, included prototype Brewdog beers Hobo Top and Brixton Porter. These are apparently only available via the brewer’s website.
‘As well as the blow to the business, the thieves also took personal items belonging to staff, and have caused a great deal of distress,’ said founder and managing director of Ales By Mail, Paul Kruzycki.
