Extending the brand into a new territory for the first time since 1963, Peroni has announced the launch of a new beer offering – Peroni Ambra.
Looking to move into the ‘super premium beer category’, Peroni Ambra is designed to open the palate and spur on the appetite, just as an aperitif should.
Served in a 250ml bottle, Ambra combines crisp and refreshing Peroni and the sharpness of Italian Chinotto, a ‘rare’ Italian citrus fruit, grown and harvested in Liguria, Northwest Italy. The beer supposedly offers a bitter and fragrant flavour, great for early evening drinking.
A bespoke tumbler (pictured) was designed by Italian designer Andrea Morgante for the launch. Peroni Ambra is distinctively served over ice and garnished with an orange peel twist.
‘The beer cocktail is being taken to a new level by Peroni Nastro Azzurro, who continually work with master mixologists to create sophisticated and intriguing infusions,’ said Giuseppe Gallo, expert on vermouth and amaro.
‘Top mixologists around the world have been embracing bitter flavours for years – and now consumers are starting to discover it too.’
To celebrate the launch, Peroni has partnered with Somerset House, opening the Somerset House Terrace on 1 April. The ‘immersive Italian experience’ will be open for six months until the end of September.
