Following its successful launch to the off-trade earlier this year, Kopparberg has announced that its new Sparkling Rosé Cider will soon be rolled out across the on-trade.
The Swedish fruit cider producer introduced the premium 7% abv sparkling cider to stores back in February as a shareable, celebration-style addition to its range in an attempt to reach into the sparkling wine market.
It is available in strawberry or raspberry flavours, and comes packaged in a 750ml bottle sealed with a cork.
‘Kopparberg Sparkling Rosé Cider has been a real success story for us since its launch into the off-trade earlier this year. It’s why from now, we’re taking the steps to introduce the product into on-trade channels as well. It will be a gradual process over the coming months, and it’s likely we’ll see the managed businesses take it on first before we roll it out into more independent and smaller chains,’ said Rob Salvesen, senior marketing manager at Kopparberg.
Kopparberg suggests serving the sparkling cider in a flute, with a complementary fruit garnish.
The brand’s ciders are made in the town of Kopparberg in the Swedish countryside in the original Bryggeri built in 1882, using soft water from a source in the town.
