Copestick Murray teams up with Ooberstock to target on-trade

Look out for a new vinous on-trade force to be reckoned with, as Copestick Murray combines its wine brand expertise with’s drinks distribution powers.

The result is a new commercial wine portfolio for the UK on-trade, available from the middle of April. Core to the deal is’s new role as official UK on-trade distributor of the i heart range, created by Copestick Murray in 2011, and now stocked in major multiples, convenience and national on-trade, and ranked among the top 20 wine brands in the country.

‘Whilst Copestick Murray is very much the wine expert, we have the wholesale platform and the customer base so it’s a great fit for both businesses,’ said’s MD Wayne Scrivener. The new portfolio ‘opens up new customers for who are looking for wines to add to their customer offering in restaurants, pubs and bars whilst giving Copestick Murray the platform to get their brands into market efficiently’, he added.

Copestick Murray founder and MD, Robin Copestick, commented: ‘We have a great portfolio of products and we are extremely ambitious to strengthen our position in the on-trade. We are very excited to be working with Ooberstock to help us showcase our varied and interesting wines to their fantastic customer base.’

In addition to i heart, the new range will include brands such as Mionetto Prosecco, Chapel Hill and Wilde Thing by Lisa McGuigan.
