Bar and restaurant operator Drake & Morgan has acquired two major new London sites, while simultaneously disposing of two venues it acquired under the Corney & Barrow brand.

The company said the acquisitions form part of Drake & Morgan’s strategy to build a ‘significant, multi-brand bar and restaurant portfolio in London and regionally’, and will take the estate to 25 sites.

The Listing will be located in the 82,000 sq ft Cannon Green development, on Bush Lane in the City of London.

Meanwhile the Allegory will be located in Principal Place, near London’s Liverpool Street station. The 600,000 sq ft development will include office, residential and retail space, and will house internet retailer Amazon’s new HQ.

The Folly and Drift operator will also open new sites at West India Quay and St Peter Square in Manchester this summer.

The company has said it had taken the decision to dispose of two Corney & Barrow Wine Bars, following a review of the business.

Acquired in July 2016, C&B Masons Avenue has now been sold to Davy’s Group, while the bar at Monument has been sold to the London Cocktail Club. Drake & Morgan said the two sites no longer fit the brand’s portfolio.
