If you were getting a little bored of Edinburgh Gin’s fruit liqueur bottle offering, than this is one for you, as they are to move into a new bottle design in September.
The same as the distillery’s core range, the new bottles are hand-blown by glassmakers in Italy, featuring an embossed Edinburgh Gin logo and small illustrations of each liqueur’s key ingredients.
Why the new design? Edinburgh gin says the move brings unity to the Edinburgh Gin portfolio, ’embodying the modern-day gin experience.’
The portfolio features four fruit gin liqueurs of Raspberry Liqueur, Elderflower Liqueur, Plum and Vanilla Liqueur, and Rhubarb and Ginger Liqueur.
‘With our fruit gin liqueurs now sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with our London dry-style gins, the sense of variety among the Edinburgh Gin portfolio is fully cemented,’ said Neil Boyd, commercial director for Ian Macleod Distillers.
‘Over the last 12-18 months we’ve seen the fruit gin liqueurs become a staple cocktail ingredient for those creating diverse and dynamic cocktails with Scottish gin at their heart. They are also equally as enjoyable when added to a glass of prosecco. We have no doubt that the new designs will only increase their popularity further.’
This is the latest development for the Scottish gin movement, which has been gathering pace for some time.
