Got a question for Wetherspoon’s boss Tim Martin?

Drinks: Drinks

He’s the boss of one of the UK’s most successful hospitality businesses, J D Wetherspoon. He recently passionately campaigned for VAT equality to help pubs compete with supermarkets. And he has plenty to say on why the UK should leave the EU.

Imbibe is giving the floor to you, our readers, to put your questions to the man himself.

From opening the first Wetherspoons pub in 1979, to overseeing an estate of 900 sites, with more than 35,000 staff, Tim Martin has helped change the face of the pub trade in the UK with his value-focused model.

We’ll be interviewing Tim in the coming weeks, and we want to put your questions to him. So if you have something you’d like to ask – from how to build a hospitality empire, to the impact of Brexit upon British hospitality businesses – let us know by commenting below.

As a freelance journalist, Claire has written about pretty much any topic you can imagine, from which are the best sausages, to how to flood-proof your home. However, her writing on drinks began when she landed a job as a features writer for the Publican magazine in 2007. Adjusting to a lifestyle of sampling the best drinks from around the world was tough, but someone had to do it. Having left the title in 2011, today Claire focuses on drinks and travel writing for both consumer and trade titles. Aside from searching the globe for the best drinks, and the nicest spots to consume them, she also judges global brewing competitions and keeps an eye on the business moves of the on-trade.
