Imbibe’s trade show, Imbibe Live, will wow the industry again on 3 and 4 July, and the four ambassadors who will be helping to determine the programme of talks, masterclasses and tastings have been revealed as Stuart McCluskey, Mitchel Adams, Tom Oliver and Xavier Rousset MS.
With a combined 70 years’ experience, the four ambassadors will fly the flag for the core areas of the show.
McCluskey has worked in all aspects of the hospitality industry, opening and running numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, and drinks shops along the way. Originally hailing from Edinburgh, he opened The Bon Vivant in 2008, and has since opened The Devil’s Advocate in an old pump station in Edinburgh’s Old Town in 2013.
As one of the country’s biggest restaurant names, Xavier Rousset MS has set up wine-driven bistros Cabotte and Blandfold Comptoir.
Operations director and beer & spirits buyer for Borough Wines & Beers, Mitchel Adams has worked in pubs for more than 20 years. Often found on judging panels across the country, Adams can also add author to his impressive resume. He’s just finished his first book, BREW, on beer and brewing.
Last, but certainly not least, cider maker Tom Oliver has won countless awards since he set up his orchard in 1998. An industry speaker on all things cider, he somehow finds time to work with restaurants, including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, on their food and cider pairing.
