Marston’s has added three sites to its premium bar and restaurant division, Revere, after acquiring the Pointing Dog pub company.

The pubs are the Original in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, the And Duck in Bakewell, Derbyshire, and the Clubhouse in Sheffield.

Colin Sadler, managing director of Revere said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the Pointing Dog teams, and believe the ethos and strength of their retail offer will sit well with our independently spirited business.

‘We are particularly impressed with the passion and commitment of the Pointing Dog team, and are delighted that the management and staff of the bars and restaurants will be transferring with the business.’

Last summer, Marston’s added a new cocktail and craft beer led branded concept named Foundry Project, while adding new sites to its The Lost & Found brand. In November the brewer also radically revamped its beer range in a bid to appeal to what it calls ‘the next generation of drinkers’.
