Italian sparkling wine brand Martini has brought its award-winning Rosé Extra Dry to the UK market. With over 10 medals from around the world to its name, the sparkling wine has been launched in response to the growth of the rosé category in recent months.

‘Dry styles of rosé have been increasing in popularity over the last year in the UK, and with summer 2019 approaching it doesn’t look like it’s due to slow down,’ said Marco Mazzini, global director of Martini Sparkling Wines at Bacardi. ‘We thought it was the perfect time to launch Martini Rosé Extra Dry in the UK, as British consumers have the palate for drier styles.’

With 150 years of championing spumante behind the brand, it’s no wonder that Martini’s blend has received international acclaim. A blend of elected Chardonnay, Glera and Nebbiolo grapes from Northern Italy, it’s been produced using the Martinotti method of fermentation, with the finished wine bottled soon after fermentation is completed and little lees contact to preserve the natural fresh fruit aromas and flavours.

According to Martini, the result is a light and fresh wine with a crisp dryness not often associated with sparkling rosé – team Imbibe will be tasting imminently.
