New app Inploi aims to improve hospitality recruitment

Recruiting? Looking to change job? Hospitality recruitment app Inploi has just emerged from beta, and is available on Android, iOS and on the web too.

hospitality recruitmentThe team behind the new service plan to improve the existing model for recruitment within the industry. ‘Agencies are expensive,’ co-founder Alexander Hanson-Smith told Imbibe. ‘So instead of taking an agency model and putting it on a phone, we’ve rebuilt the way it works.’

For recruiters, instead of a ‘pay-and-pray’ model, you only hand over any cash once you’re ready to contact a potential candidate. And candidates can build a LinkedIn-like profile on the service for free. An additional benefit is that employers can pay short-term staff directly via the app.

According to co-founder Matthew de la Hey: ‘The inploi platform brings the job search into the 21st century with its easy to use website and mobile applications, and provides employers with a comprehensive tool to find and manage candidates.’

Since its beta launch, the company has raised more money in a second funding round, and hired two advisers: Ross Sleight is strategy director for mobile solutions company Somo Ltd; and Jonny Crowe is a former COO and head of M&A for global media holding and investment company Naspers.

During its beta phase, the service attracted 2,000 job seekers, who vied for 100 jobs posted by 200 active employers.

Inploi is available on the web, on Android, and on iOS.
