There’s not enough table tennis in this town. Or cocktails. Or pizza. That’s the thinking behind Bounce, a venue that claims to be London’s first purpose-built social ping pong club.
Opening Monday (1 October), the Holborn venue has been set up by co-founder of All Star Lanes, Adam Breeden, along with entrepreneur (and table tennis player) Dov Penzik.
The 40ft bar will be in Joe Stokoe’s capable hands. The list includes wiff-waff-inspired cocktails such as the Match Point Margarita (Olmeca Altos with home-made chipotle Ribena, lime and citrus salt), along with some non-ping-pong creations. There’s also a concise wine list, as well as a few London ’boutique beers’.
Bounce is said to be located on the same site that the game was invented, back in 1901.
