Capitalising on the success of The Alchemist’s first outing in Manchester’s Spinningfields (opened in December 2010), parent company Living Ventures has announced the launch of a second, on the corner of New York Street and Moseley Street.
The plan is to stay true to the original, in that its famous Maple Manhattans will also be making the move to Piccadilly. The venue will be open for morning coffees, lunch, dinner and cocktails, there is also set to be a large outdoor area: with the June opening date allowing plenty of time for outdoor summer drinking/dining.
MD of Living Ventures, Tim Bacon, said of the expansion: ‘We love The Alchemist and feel it will add nicely to another area of Manchester city centre and then hopefully beyond. New York Street has a lovely feel to it but perhaps lacks a “local” so The Alchemist will hopefully fill the void. It should be open mid to late June.’
