A silver spoon of your own

Drinks: Drinks

Only in the world of bartending would the launch of a spoon be big news. Cocktail Kingdom’s launching one such piece of cutlery that’s worthy of attention.

The new Hoffman spoon is, in part, inspired by the stirring implement historically used at New York’s Hoffman House, and illustrated in its 1905 bartender’s guide. The distinctive part of this spoon isn’t the business end, but rather the bit at the base, which contributes towards the spoon’s balance when stirring.

Not content with merely copying this design, Cocktail Kingdom’s version has been fused with Japanese elements, marrying the Hoffman House base with a Japanese spoon and stem.

Standard steel version not enough for you? These are available as gold-plated or silver-plated too.
