Matthew Clark has announced the launch of a new brand distribution agency, Catalyst Brands, which is set to work in conjunction with their existing Wine Studio Agency across the off and on-trade.

Wine Studio Agency launched in 2010 and was named in last year’s Plimsoll Report as the UK’s fastest growing drinks business, so this expansion seems the next logical step. The move is bolstered by exclusive distribution deals with Marie Brizard, Voss water and Czech brewery, Zatec, as well as a newly-inked deal with Gruppo Campari, effective from 1 July 2012. The company also boasts 97 wine agency agreements, with brands including Blossom Hill and Jacob’s Creek.

Gary Squire, MD of Catalyst Brands, said of the launch: ‘We believe there is a gap in the UK market for a brand agency which can deliver distribution, not only through traditional on-trade and off-trade routes to market, but also at an outlet level using insight to establish better engagement with consumers in the right outlet styles.
