Following the closure of its Aussie-tropolis Walkabout venue in London’s Temple, Stonegate Pub Company is looking to spice things up by opening a second Bar Salsa! on the site next month.
The £1m opening will see Soho’s Latin American-inspired venue take up a second home in Temple, with bold, bright colours, traditional artwork and an increased capacity.
The venue will be split into several different zones and will offer three bars, including a stage for dance acts and band and multiple dance floors where salsa classes will take place. Merengue, Bachata and Lambada (styles of salsa) will take place daily, with Latin live bands and DJs also making an appearance.
Drinks-wise the new menu will feature over 50 cocktails, with Latin American beers and flavoured tequilas also making an appearance. Serves will include Watermelon Sambas, Palomitas, Bloody Marias and Mexican Cosmos.
‘We are so excited to be launching a second bar in London!’ said Liam Martyn, general manager of Bar Salsa! Temple on the new opening. ‘We have such a loyal group of customers who return night after night and we’re proud to have the opportunity to launch a thriving new site for them – and look forward to welcoming a whole new set of Londoners.’
