Non-alcoholic spirits producer Stryyk has unveiled Not Vodka, a new ‘zero-proof’ spirit that joins Not Gin and Not Rum in the brand’s portfolio.
Alex Carlton, who founded Funkin Cocktails in 1999 and exited the business in 2015, launched Stryyk over the summer in response to the growing demand for booze-less options, citing statistics that show one in three people aged 16 to 24 never drink alcohol.

‘We are committed to offering the best tasting zero-proof spirits to enable the trade to deliver flavour-driven credible and stylish low- and no-alcohol serves for the growing number of people looking to limit their alcohol consumption,’ Carlton said.
Stryyk Not Vodka promises cucumber and menthol notes, a backdrop of wheatiness and hints of coriander, followed by a warm, peppery finish.
When Imbibe interviewed Carlton about the brand launch earlier this year, he discussed the unique difficulties of creating a non-alcoholic, vodka-like spirit.
‘It’s the toughest [to develop]– vodka’s got no smell or taste, it’s about mirroring a “dirty alcohol” flavour,’ explained Carlton. He said that his new spirit aims to recreate the ‘proper burn’ of vodka.
As such, the brand touts a simple Not Vodka & Tonic and Stryyk White Cranberry as its signature serves, and also suggests using it as an ingredient in alcoholic cocktails to moderate their abv.
