Out Of The Blue launched yesterday at The Blue Bar at The Berkeley, a collaboration with Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands combining cocktails with state of the art technology.
The multi-sensory experience, located within a secret space in the hotel, accommodates up to four guests, who each receive a tasting menu consisting of four taster-sized cocktails. The drinks draw on the Blue Bar’s existing True Colours menu for inspiration, and each one contains a spirit from BBFB’s portfolio, namely Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, Bacardí Ocho and Aberfeldy.
The drinks themselves are accompanied by 360 degree projections, as well as molecular scents, designed to enhance the context in which the cocktails are enjoyed.
‘By stripping away the traditional cues, the Out Of The Blue experience will bring a focus on ingredients, allowing connoisseurs the chance to explore taste through a blank canvas and experience cocktails like never before,’ explained Daniel Baernreuther, director of food & beverage at The Berkeley.

The whole experience costs £200, accommodating up to four guests, with hourly slots between 5:30pm and 11pm.
