Responding to the UK’s thirst for bourbon, Diageo Reserve has done the decent thing and extended its Bulleit range with a 10yo variant.
Aged in charred American oak barrels for a minimum of 10 years, Bulleit Bourbon 10-Year-Old comes in at 45.6% abv and is said to be a deep and smooth sipping experience.
Fret ye not, it remains true to its DNA and will still give you the high rye content you’ve come to expect. The new expression is dark in colour with a warm, orange hue. On the nose you can expect toasted oak with hints of vanilla and dried fruits.
‘Bourbon is a category loved by UK consumers and Bulleit is making gains in both the on and off-trade and outperforming the category – up 54% in volume,’ Nick Temperley, head of Diageo Reserve GB, said.
‘We are confident that Bulleit 10yo will add to the popularity of the bourbon category, providing a fantastic base for a number of seasonal serves such as the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned.’
Bulleit Bourbon 10-Year-Old will be available in selected on-trade outlets next month.
