Entries closing soon for the second burst of World Class 2015 entries
The first of the UK finalists have been chosen, but there’s still one more chance to enter World Class 2015, make it to the UK finals, and maybe even get to the global final in South Africa.

You’ll have to be quick though, as entries to Burst Two close on 29 March 2015. Those entrants will be asked to take inspiration from a bartending book and a piece of literature of their choice, and create a unique cocktail using only white spirits from Diageo Reserve’s impressive portfolio. The challenge requires bartenders to use Ketel One Vodka, Ciroc Vodka, Tanqueray No.TEN Gin or Don Julio Blanco, Reposado and Anejo Tequilas, as the base spirit for their drink. Grand Marnier can also be used, but is not mandatory.
Entrants are then expected to create the ‘ultimate outdoor drink’, focussing on Spring and Summer, and light, fresh ingredients. Drinks need to connect to a character or theme in the literature too.
Head of Diageo Reserve GB Nick Temperley said: ‘After witnessing such an outstanding calibre of talent at the Burst One semi-finals of World Class GB 2015, we are truly excited to open the next stage of the competition and further discover the creativity and innovation that the UK bartending scene has to offer.
‘World Class is a world-leading competition and the career benefits that come to the bartenders taking part is second to none. We’re hopeful that this year we’ll have what it takes for a UK entrant to take the top spot as global World Class Bartender of the Year 2015. Don’t miss your chance to enter!”
