Elephant Gin is packing its trunk and joining Mangrove in a bid to push its UK on-trade distribution.
The African-inspired, London dry made in Germany (nope, us neither) will join Mangrove’s impressive collection of aged, sloe, navy strength and London dry gins.
Slightly unorthodox back-story aside, Elephant Gin is made in small batches using traditional copper still distillation. Botanicals include Savannah’s ‘superfruit’ Baobab, and the Buchu plant (a bit like blackcurrant).
Mangrove MD Nick Gillett said Elephant Gin had done a ‘fantastic job to this date’ and he looked forward to taking the brand to the ‘next level of growth’.
‘Elephant Gin is an exciting new addition to the Mangrove portfolio and further expands our super premium gin category,’ he added.
Each bottle of Elephant Gin is wrapped in a hand-written label and is sealed with cork.
