Hendrick’s Gin launches Orbium

Drinks: Gin
Location: England, Scotland, Wales

One of our country’s most beloved spirits (gin and cucumber, genius) is expanding its range with the launch of a ‘quininated’ gin known as Orbium.

What is quininated you ask? Well, Hendrick’s has instilled Orbium with additional extracts of quinine, wormwood and blue lotus blossom, giving it what is described as an ‘oddly exquisite flavour that sits roundly on the palate’.

Created by legendary master distiller, Lesley Gracie, Orbium contains the same distillates as Hendrick’s, with the added flavours usually associated with gin drinks – tonic (quinine) and vermouth (wormwood).

Want some? You’ll have to get in there quickly, as only 4,000 bottles have been released, and initially only available in select bars in the UK.
