Luca Missaglia becomes Italicus global brand ambassador

Location: Italy
Other: People

Ever expanding its presence in the UK and around the globe, Italicus has announced it has a new global brand ambassador: Luca Missaglia.

Arriving in London from his native Italy in 2009, Missaglia previously held the position of senior bartender at Aqua Shard before joining Giuseppe Gallo’s team. He also boasts time at beloved LAB (RIP) and Quo Vadis.

Italicus – launched by Gallo in 2016 – is an incarnation of the forgotten Italian spirit Rosolio. Designed to be drunk as an aperitif or in cocktails, Italicus has notes of Calabrian bergamot, Cedro lemons, chamomile, lavender, yellow roses and Melissa balm.

In his new role, Missaglia will work alongside Gallo to spread the word of Italicus and the ‘reborn’ rosolio di bergamotto category.

‘Luca is one of London’s leading bartenders, and his playful character and passion for his Italian heritage makes him a perfect addition to our team,’ said Gallo.

‘2018 is an important year for Italicus as we are planning global expansion, establishing our core markets and continuing the strong growth we’ve seen in our first 15 months.’
