Revelling in gin’s rich history, Sipsmith and The Langham have teamed up to create the Sipsmith Gin Palace in the hotel’s Palm Court. Plans for the pop-up were revealed yesterday.
Starting from 13 September, and running on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, the space will be transformed with atmospheric lighting and live jazz.
Sipsmith master distiller and font of drinks knowledge Jared Brown and The Langham’s head mixologist Alex Kratena have created a list of gin infusions and cocktails. The menu contains drinks that represent various stages in gin’s history.
One example is the excellent Portland Place Shrub, incorporating Sipsmith gin, a homemade shrub and Meantime wheat beer, served in a tankard.
