You’ll find a wealth of new products on display at Imbibe Live next week – and this rum is one of them.
The Duppy Share (what they call the angel’s share in the Caribbean) is a blend of rums from Jamaica and Barbados. The former is three years old, while the latter comes in at five years. The bottling takes place in London.
The brand’s aiming at the premium end of the rum market, priced at £37.99. It’s been created by the Westbourne Drinks Co, a business started by rum adventurer George Frost and start-up expert Jessica Swinfen, once at Innocent Drinks. Frost initially considered starting a rum distillery in London, but changed his mind after a visit to distilleries in the Caribbean.
Punch is where it’s at for The Duppy Share – expect the brand to be promoting big sharing serves in the days to come.
