This year’s Galvin Cup Cocktail Competition is now open for entries. The prestigious event will be held on the 8th of June.
This will be the fourth year of the competition’s existence, in which competitors are required to create a particular classic drink (a Rob Roy this year), as well as an original cocktail, and are judged on their mixing skills, confidence and appearance. There are two parts to the competition – one for students and one for professionals.
The Galvin Cup was created by chef patron Chris Galvin and GM Fred Sirieix at Galvin at Windows, who wanted to recognise talent within the bar trade. Prizes this year include a stay at the Glenmorangie distillery, cash prizes, and the Galvin Cup itself.
The event will be held at Westminster Kingsway College. To enter, and for more information, visit the Galvin Cup site.
