GlenDronach released its eighth batch of single cask bottlings today. The eight whiskies range from 10 to 42 years old, all aged in various sherry casks, from PX puncheons to oloroso sherry butts.
Master blender Billy Walker selected the eight casks, which were bottled in May. The youngest, cask #1988 from 2002, is only 10 years old. Coming in at 55.6% abv, it’s aged in a PX puncheon, much like the oldest in the range, 42-year-old cask #1971 (44.6% abv).
