New bison on the block

The second vodka in the Davna range has been unveiled, and it’s a rather familiar Polish vodka flavour: bison grass.

The range has been created by Marblehead, who explains that the grass has been used to flavour Polish vodkas for hundreds of years. The new addition has apparently been created, together with a master distiller in Poland, using a traditional recipe. It is produced by adding bison grass extract to 40% abv vodka.

Davna (pronounced ‘dawna’), approximates to ‘old-school’ or ‘vintage’ in Polish. Davna Bizon joins the rather excellent Davna Czeri, launched last year, and there are plans to add more flavours to the range.
