William Grant & Sons appoints Calum Fraser as UK rum specialist

UK rum specialist sounds like a dream job, right? Well, that’s certainly true for The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant’s Calum Fraser, who has been appointed to do just that for William Grant & Sons.

Taking over from Stephen Rutherford, now UK Glenfiddich brand ambassador, Glasgow’s Fraser will focus on generating brand awareness for the Scottish distiller’s sugarcane portfolio, which includes O.V.D and Wood’s 100 Old Navy Rum. The position will see him take charge of getting the brand across to consumers, bars, restaurants, retailers, distributors and media, and we’re guessing a whole lot of rum drinking.

‘Calum joins the team with a wealth of experience and an excellent reputation in the on-trade,’ said Katy Emami, senior brand manager at William Grant & Sons. ‘His passion for the industry and abundance of drinks knowledge makes him the perfect fit to work across O.V.D and Woods.’

‘During my time in the industry, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working at top venues with some of the best hospitality talent in the UK,’ added Fraser. ‘I’m very excited to bring my on-trade insights, which I’ve collated over the years, to my new role with William Grant.’
