Say you’got a big Italian restaurant chain and want to roll out a new Spritz cocktail to all your sites. For Jamie’s Italian, World of Zing had the solution.
Designed by World of Zing founder Pritesh Mody, and produced in small batches in south London, the Jamie’s Winter Spritz will be rolling out to the entire Jamie’s chain. It includes Gancia Rossa, Montenegro Amaro and Ketel One Vodka, infused with figs and ginger, as well as a bitter orange and clove syrup. Jamie’s employees just measure out 50ml of the cocktail and top with prosecco and soda. The result is a warming, seasonal take on the classic drink.
World of Zing was approached by Jamie’s Italian to create a bespoke Spritz-style cocktail, with a brief to not only take a seasonal approach, but to take into account current vermouth and bitter-flavour trends. Zing drew on its relationships with Diageo Reserve and Catalyst Brands to fulfil the brief, creating the Jamie’s Winter Spritz.
The cocktail is delivered in cases of 12x750ml bottles, with 15 serves in each bottle. Mody points out that the cocktails are still handmade like they would be in the best bars, ‘but instead of each location having to invest and train someone who can produce the various components of the drink, the Spirit of Zing set up simply centralises the process and provides a cocktail that is consistent across all venues’.
Zing already works with a number of venues to provide exclusive cocktails, including Rosa’s Thai Café Group. Other clients, like Darjeeling Express and Hippo Inns, make use of the Spirit of Zing off-the-shelf cocktails.
The Jamie’s Winter Spritz is exclusively available in all Jamie’s Italian Restaurants until February, selling for £7.50 each.
