Hallgarten buys Novum Wines

Drinks: Wines
Other: Business

Novum Wines has been purchased by Hallgarten Druitt. The acquisition, which took place last week, will see the small south-east London merchant’s entire portfolio move to Hallgarten.

Novum was set up former Oddbins head buyer Steve Daniel, and gained a reputation and following in the on-trade, in part for its interesting and, at times unconventional portfolio of wines. Daniel, for example, is well-known for his championing of Greek wines.

Employees are reportedly being given the opportunity to take positions at Hallgarten, and the company intends to continue to supply Novum’s customer base.
