The latest addition to Chelsea’s ever-exclusive King’s Road is Tuatara, a sumptuously upholstered members’ club spanning two floors. It will open its doors next Thursday.
Vibrant walls and comfy leather banquettes run throughout the venue, with specific spaces dedicated to either relaxing or dancing. A stage on the second floor will play host to DJs and live performers, while a mood-lit VIP area will fit the bill for more intimate soirees, and a roof terrace will offer fresh air with unparalleled views.
The drinks list will thrill extravagant patrons, with the usual fruity cocktail culprits bobbing alongside the likes of Rock & Roll: a ‘Grande’ cocktail intended for sharing, it costs £200 and contains 30 shots topped up with champagne. The list is crowned by a bottle of £7000 vintage champagne, the ordering of which will instigate theatrics – as the music is muted a spotlight will follow the sparkler-adorned bottle to the table.
