The Champagne Jacquart Rising Stars Trophy, that aims to find the best young sommelier and chef team in the UK, is now open for entries.

The competition, now in its fourth year, is open to those under 35 years old. After an initial paper-judging round, a shortlist of eight teams will compete on 10 October at The Restaurant Show in London, preparing each dish live, with sommeliers presenting their champagne match.

Sommeliers can choose from five Jacquart styles, namely Brut Mosaïque NV, Brut Mosaïque Rosé NV, Extra Brut NV, Blanc de Blancs 2004, and Brut de Nominée NV.

Entries close on 22 July.
