As the largest wine-producing region in the world, there’s a lot to learn about the Languedoc-Roussillon. There’s now an intense two-day course to help wrap your head around it.
Sud de France is launching the master-level study and certificate programme in London on 17-18 September. Matthew Stubbs MW will be tackling this diverse region, helping students to attain the industry-endorsed Sud de France Master-Level Certificate.
Expect the course to delve deep, into the region’s winemaking history, climate, grapes and viticulture, as well as geology, topography and soils, not to mention the various AOCs and IGPs. There’s wine tasting too, of course, and an exam to deal with at the end of it all.
Held at Maison de la Région Languedoc-Roussillon, 6 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0PD, the programme costs £250 per person. Register at the Vinecole website.
