Fair Trade Spirits release new vodka made from quinoa

We’ve heard of vodka made from potatoes, rye, grapes and wheat – but quinoa? This is the raw material for Fair, a new ethically aware vodka.
The certified Fair Trade product is made from quinoa grown by Bolivian farmers. It was created by Jean-Francois Daniel, a former cognac brand manager in New York who saw the light after travelling in South America.
Its UK debut has been in the form of a Fair Trade cocktail at Andaz’s 1901 bar. Imbibe found the vodka pungent and earthy, with grass-cutting aromas, as well as lime peel and floral notes.
40% abv. RRP £30/70cl.
