Sacred Gin microdistiller Ian Hart has launched a second spirit – a vodka with Indonesian cubeb in a starring role.

After a period of experimentation, Hart has settled on a blend of cold vacuum-distilled botanicals that has only citrus and frankincense in common with his gin. Sacred Vodka has distinctive, lingering woody spicy notes, with sweet and bitter elements contributing to an elegantly structured spirit.

The recommended serve, and rightly so, is in a Sacred Vesper, mixed 1:3 with its sister spirit, Sacred Gin, with Lillet Blanc and a dash of Angostura bitters.

Commenting on the creation of Sacred Vodka, Hart mused: ‘You realise that all botanicals have a story to tell… that juniper isn’t the only one.’
