St Mungo heads south

Glasgow brew-restaurant West is bottling its St Mungo lager for distribution in London and the south east of England. The 4.9% beer is being listed by speciality beer wholesaler Utobeer in 33cl bottles.
It’s a German-style lager brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot – the German beer purity laws which dictate that beer can only be produced using water, yeast, hops and malted barley.
St Mungo is made with Pilsner, Munich and Carapils malts, with Perle, Spalt and Hallertau Hersbrucker hops. West founder Petra Wetzel said: 'St Mungo has more complexity than any commodity lager and we know that consumers will pay more for its taste.'
St Mungo is the patron saint of Glasgow and is said to have been a brewer.
