A lot of mixxing

Six thousand UK bar staff have benefited from Maxxium’s training scheme, mixxit, in the last year.
The free programme spans a large section of the trade, from country pubs to style bars, and is arranged over three tiers. Mixxit is headed up by Wayne Collins, Andy Gemmell and Patsy Christie, and is executed by all of Maxxium’s sales team. It includes 90 minute sessions, as well as more in-depth masterclasses on particular subjects, lasting up to three hours.
Maxxium’s Wayne Collins commented: 'The trade has been very receptive to mixxit and we have surpassed our target numbers. Training in dark spirits has been popular in line with a growing interest on the mixability of categories like cognac, golden rum and aged tequila.'
