No more excuses about lack of space when it comes to your keg beer offering. Brasserie Meteor in France has developed a disposable 30 litre keg that can be kept under a bar counter.

The plastic and cardboard contraption only weighs 31.9kg, is apparently easy to install, and is recyclable too. It also offers a shelf life of eight months, and keeps beer fresh for three weeks once it’s tapped. It does this by keeping the beer away from CO2 by dispensing it from a pressurised PET ball.

Meteor draft (5% abv) is made from Alsace hops and barley, as well as water from the Vosges Mountains. It is also available in 33cl bottles (4.6 % abv). The keg has already picked up listings at venues such as the Eastside Inn, Le Pont de la Tour, La Ratatouille, and French House bar.
