US/UK fusion from Thornbridge

This Derbyshire brewer has released the fruits of its latest collaboration with an American craft brewer.
Colorado Red is a 5.9% abv beer billed as a 'massively-hopped red ale'. It has been brewed in conjunction with Doug Odell, of the Odell Brewing Company in Fort Collins, an American whose beers are inspired by English ale.
Colorado Red uses specialty malts in the style of an American red beer, but with oil-rich English hops including Admiral, Bramling Cross, Phoenix, Pilgrim and First Gold. Thornbridge brewery manager Kelly Ryan said: 'We wanted to take a great US style of beer and put a bit of a British twist on it. We don’t want people to dismiss the fantastic breadth of flavour and aroma that UK hops can give to a beer.'
Previous Thornbridge international collaborations have been with brewers from Brooklyn in the US, Epic of New Zealand and Birrificio Italiano of Italy.
