Matthew Clark is aiming to cash in on the consumer appetite for celebration this Christmas with a new magnum deal for Champagne and sparkling wine.

During November and December, the company is offering one magnum for free when outlets buy two 75cl bottles of Taittinger Brut Reserve Champagne, Anna de Codorníu Brut Cava, or Rocco Prosecco.

The new deal follows Matthew Clark’s vintage for non-vintage promotion last Christmas, with wine purchasing director Simon Jerome saying it was important to find new ways of adding value to the category.

‘With the alcohol spend 21% higher than average over the Christmas period (Mintel), not only does it reinforce the importance of deals like this, but also allows our customers to trade up and sell the free magnum at a show-stopping price,’ he added.
