Tillmans is a new organic range of fruit cordials from a family firm in Dalarna, central Sweden.

They argue that the long daylight hours in the Swedish summer make the fruit riper, so that it needs less sugar to make the end result. The Tillmans then use a large Italian wine-press to collect the juice, rather than using concentrates, and the results contain no artificial additives.

Flavours include elderflower and blackcurrant, as well as certified organic varieties rhubarb, cherry, raspberry & redcurrant, lingonberry and strawberry. And jolly good they are too – particular favourites for us were the subtly tart rhubarb and marzipan-inflected cherry.
