Restaurant and deli business Carluccio's is championing the wines of the Veneto this summer, hosting a series of tastings and dinners, as well as stocking guest wines from Roberto Anselmi at its self-styled 'caffès'.

Producers benefiting from the new focus during the Veneto Wine Festival include Anselmi, Bertani (six wines including Soave and Amarone) and Ruggeri (Prosecco), as well as Delibori and Sospiro.

Events in the company's restaurants will include wine tastings in London, Leicestershire, Berkshire and Cambridgeshire, and three-course wine dinners including typical Venetian cuisine.

Diners at Carluccio's restaurants will also be charged only £5 corkage for wines bought at the company's delis during the festival.
