Third time’s a charm
Hawksmoor has become the go-to restaurant in London for a killer steak and cocktail combination since 2006 when the first branch opened in Spitalfields and sent the capital's food bloggers into rapture. In November 2010 the second Hawksmoor opened its doors at Seven Dials, and this autumn the brand looks set to take the City with the arrival of Hawksmoor Guildhall.
The interior will be taken care of by Macaulay Sinclair, who brought Bunsen burner chic to the Seven Dials branch and will incorporate a dedicated wine room big enough to host tastings and London's first enomatic port preservation system – allowing customers to round their meal off in good old-fashioned city boy style.
Unsurprisingly the menu looks set to stick to its winning formula of protein, protein and some mighty fine chips, but executive chef Richard Turner has promised to produce some exciting new dishes too. Make ours a Porterhouse steak, triple-cooked chips and a bottle of Manhattan and we'll see you there this autumn.
